Neelu Sarao is a Canadian contemporary artist whose work explores surreal interpretations of nature and culture. Her paintings blur the boundary between perception and dream, transforming familiar subjects into layered compositions that feel immersive and emotionally resonant.
Each piece begins with something real, a moment, a subject, or a feeling, and evolves beyond its original form. Her work captures quiet details that often go unnoticed and brings them forward with intention. As the process unfolds, the work moves beyond how something appears and takes form through how it is felt, remembered, and experienced.
Working across acrylic, oil, airbrush, and mixed media, she builds compositions through layers, movement, and texture.
